ABOUT US
"The church is the church only when it exists for others. The church is the body of Christ existing as community."
- Dietrich Bonhoeffer
OUR VISION
La Mesa Presbyterian Church, a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA), is located in the International District of Albuquerque, near the Fairgrounds, and just off old Route 66. In its mission, life, and worship, the church has served this dynamic, diverse neighborhood for almost seventy-five years, and takes seriously its context in this multi-cultural community.
WHAT WE DO
We are a medium-sized congregation with a large footprint in the community and city, as we seek to serve Christ in tangible acts of compassion and justice. We balance the church's strong activism with an equally intentional commitment to spiritual growth and learning.
OUR COMMUNITY
Worship is at the center of our life together. We enjoy lively Reformed worship within a liturgical framework, with music including classical, folk, and gospel. Sunday service begins at 10:30 AM and lasts about an hour.

OUR INCLUSION STATEMENT
At La Mesa, we welcome everyone to worship with us. We invite into full participation all people who profess faith in Jesus Christ regardless of age; race; national origin; citizenship; housing status; gender identity; sexual/affectional orientation; or physical, mental, or hidden differences and disabilities. While respecting tradition, we endeavor to use inclusive language, images, metaphors, and music that respect the love and mystery of God, as well as the rich diversity of the people of God.
